Nicole Nowosad here today to share a project using some fun and sparkly glitter washi tape! I really wanted to use the washi tape and have it resemble something more than just strips, so I decided to add it to the back of a title I had cut from some simple white cardstock.
There are so many fun textures and colors of glitter washi tape, you could do this with different results depending on what washi you choose!
I used several of the different glitter washis for my title work, and it adds just the right amount of sparkle to my page! I was able to add in some other sparkly Queen & Co. flowers and gems to my project to go along with the glitter washi tapes.
I love the little pops of color from the floral embellishments and how easy it is to add some of these fun embellishments to co-ordinate with the paper and the glitter washi
I created a video of how this page came together - check it out!
First, I scored every inch and then added a rainbow of washi in between. I die cut a sentiment and then popped it up on green fun foam for a little pop of color. ____________________________________________
I created a fun little scene with this next card....
I used an MFT set called springtime critters and added in a frog and sentiment. I used some white twine and crated a washi banner for the background. It was super easy to make by simply folding the washi over the twine and then cutting banner ends on each. I paired it with a fun, bright yellow envelope.
Queen and Company has amazing washi and you can see it all by clicking HERE.
Hey everyone! Jen Chapin here, and today I am sharing a layout that I created using Queen and Company's awesome glitter washi. Have you guys tried this washi? Unlike some glitter tapes, this stuff is really easy to tear and punch through, which makes it great for creating embellishments like I did for this page.
I started with a sheet of 12x12 grid patterned paper. To create my custom circles, I simply adhered two pieces of glitter washi tape onto some white cardstock and punched it out with a 1" circle punch. I then adhered these circles to the top portion of my page.
Next, I created a mat for my photo using some of the dark blue glitter washi. After adhering my photo, I placed the title and wrote my journaling.
To embellish, I used some acrylic and foam stars, as well as a few enamel shapes and dots. I hope you will try this technique soon! You could even use this technique with regular washi tape. The options are endless and only limited by the type of punches you have.
Thanks for stopping by the blog and have a great day!
Morning! It's Jana Eubanks today! Sometimes it is hard to catch the excitement of a birthday celebration on a scrapbook page. Not any more! With the Birthday Shaker Shapes Set you can practically taste the sprinkles that is decorating the inside of this cake embellishment!
One of my favorite things to do with titles is to replace the dot in the letter "i" with something decorative. Here I added a tiny blue petite posie.
There was an empty spot at the top of my page above the title. I simply filled it in with a strip of orange Simply Stripes Mat Stack paper, decorating the end with two green rivets.
Green twine and orange sparkle string dress up my photos, while a sprinkling of petite posies and pinwheels add a party feel to the right side of the page.
My favorite part of this page looks good enough to eat! Check out the slice of cake I created with the Birthday Shaker Shapes Set!
I cut the cake shape from blue and brown cardstock. I used scissors to trim out the "inside" of the cake ... leaving just the frosting ... and then adhered that frosting layer on top of the brown "chocolate" cake layer. I used a couple of FLUFFY FLOWERS (Name?) to the top of the cake for decoration.
Inside the cake are yellow, blue, and orange candy sprinkles toppings that look good enough to eat!
A few more yellow pinwheels and petite posies scattered around the cake add a fun feel.
One of our favorite places to go on vacation, like a lot of families, is Disneyland. The first time my daughter met the characters was completely magical. At the time she was shy around most adults, so it amazed us when she wasn't afraid or shy when meeting her favorite characters.
At the top of the page, I used the Magic Shaker Kit to create Mickey and Minnie mouse symbols. I cut them from black glitter cardstock and then backed them with red and yellow Delightful Dots papers. I filled the inside of the shapes with white Lollies, red and yellow buttons, red diamond topping, and black fimo fun stars. I added a red ribbon to the top of Minnie's ears and adorned the bottom of the iconic shapes with blue flowers and a magic flair button.
The title was cut on my electronic die cutting machien from the Simple Stripes yellow paper. I added more flair and blue flowers to the title, as well. A few yellow pinwheels feel like pixie dust!
I cut the tickets from the Around the Park Mat Stack and tied them with Red Sparkle String. To the right of the tickets is a shaker Mickey glove. More pinwheels, flair, and flowers add lots of dimension and fun to this part of the page, as well.
Across the bottom of the page the photos rest on strips of patterned papers from the Around the Park Mat Stack, combined with some Magical Tape. Red and black rivets adorn each end of these decorative paper strips.

A little bit more about the company: Queen & Co has manufactured over 1000 unique embellishments since inception. In 2006 we proudly presented the Colour Collection, which cleverly combined the beauty of makeup with a love for scrapbooking. Designed to have the look of your favorite cosmetic line, the Colour Collection included innovative products tucked inside signature, reusable packaging. This was the most difficult product line Ive ever created (took over a year to configure), but my absolute favorite! In 2007, we introduced felt to the scrapbooking world with the release of Felt Fusion. Beautiful, intricately cut felt backed with easy to use adhesive.
In 2012, Queen & Co will unveil the Twenty Twelve product line which introduces amazing new Trendy Tape, Twisted Twine and Twinkle to the paper craft market."
