It's Amy Sheffer here today with some festive, bright and fun shaker card ideas. A friend and I were reminiscing recently about our family vacations to Disney a few years ago. Our reminiscing soon became scheming and plotting a return trip with both families together! All our Disney talk inspired me to pull out my Mickey Foam Front Shaker Kit and create some magic!
I started by adhering the foam front to the card base. Next I used the Mickey Foam Front Die to cut two panels, one from black card stock and the other from the yellow polka dot pattern in the Delightful Dots 6"x 6" Mat Stack. I placed the yellow mouse ears cut-out inside the shaker, the filled the shaker with an assortment of red, black, yellow, and white Toppings (Sequin Sprinkles, Donuts, Posies, and Pops).
Next I covered the shaker with the acetate window and then adhered the black card stock top panel. I stamped my sentiment in red ink onto a white strip, notched the end, adhered it to the card front, and topped it with a button from the Button Bouquet II Red collection tied of with some black and white striped twine from the Twine Assortment.
Along the top, I added some star garland die-cuts and a sprinkling of White Rivets, Red Rivets, Yellow Rivets, and White Lollies.

Next, I decided to try a girlie Minnie Mouse version of the iconic mouse ears. Again, I started with the Mickey Foam Front Shaker Kit. I adhered the foam piece to the card base, then backed the shaker with black card stock and filled with a mixture of Toppings (Sequin Sprinkles, Posies Candy Sprinkles, and Bitty Beads).
I added some Black Polka Trendy Tape, Silver Skinny Glitter Tape, and pink Skinny Minnie washi tape to a white card panel, then die-cut it with the Mickey Foam Front Die and adhered it to the foam front. I added a die-cut sentiment and some bling (White Lollies, Pink Petite Posies, and White Sunflowers).
Last, to complete the Minnie Mouse look, I created a bow from pink polka washi tape and cinched with some black and white twine from the Twine Assortment.

Changing gears a bit, this next card is a cheerful hello card featuring the Chevron Foam Front Shaker Kit and green, yellow, and blue Donuts for toppings.
I started by adhering my foam to the card base and filling the channels with Donuts in blue, yellow, and green. I topped the foam with a white panel that I cut using the Chevron Foam Front Die. (I use the die and my own card stock this time so that the chevron panel would match the white I used for the outer frame. Otherwise, I would have used the white die-cut panel that's included in the kit.)
I added a two-piece stitched border frame, the outside in white and a narrow inner portion from yellow card stock.
Last I added a metallic silver thread nest, a triple-stacked word die-cut, and a pair of Blue Lollies.

For my last card, I let my inner artist out to play, and it was so much fun! Those flowers are hand-doodled around the circle shakers on the Bubbles Foam Front Shaker Kit and then loosely watercolored for an artsy look.
To begin, I adhered the Bubbles Foam Front to a card base. Next I used the Bubbles Foam Front Die on watercolor paper, but instead of die-cutting, I used the embossing sandwich to emboss the circles. Then, using those embossed circles as a guide, I did the doodling and watercoloring. Once that was done, I placed the die back on the watercolored panel, fitting the cut lines back into the embossed grooves. This time I ran it through with the cutting sandwich.
I placed the flower center cut-outs inside the respective shakers on the foam panel, filled with pink, orange, yellow, and purple Pastel Diamonds, covered with acetate, and then secured my doodled panel for a seamless look from flower petals to flower center.
I finished off with some Yellow Sparkle String, a stamped and die-cut sentiment, and some White Petite Posies.
Thanks so much for joining me today! Have a great weekend!
