Mary-Ann Maldonado here with my first blog post with Queen and Company. I am so excited to be here and hope that together, the team can be super inspiring! Today I have used the Heart Throb Shaker Kit to create my 5x5 card. First, I embossed with a folder I had on hand. Cut out a square, to frame the entire front of the card. I use foam quite a lot, if you follow along this upcoming year, you will see! I backed the entire frame with foam for dimension. I decided to cut a heart that would fit behind my foam heart for the shaker card. I trimmed own the stickers from the kit to make them thinner and attached them as you see behind the shaker part of the heart.
For the "LOVE," I used my die cutting machine and the die "love" to cut 10 cardstock words. I layered them one on top of the other to create a thick title and attached the beautiful gray floral to the top. To keep it balanced on my heart, I used foam.
I hope that you consider layering words for depth. It is super easy and kind of replicates the thick acrylic pieces you also receive in the kit.
Thanks for stopping by!
