Recently, as I thumbed through a quilting magazine I came across a beautiful blocked quilt. That quilt inspired me to make this card, and to try out blocking pieces of washi tape to mimic a quilted look.
At first I thought I would try cutting the ends of my tape to be straight, however, I decided that in doing that I would lose the look of washi tape. I left the ends of each piece of tape ragged and let them overlap a little in places. I'm glad I went with this style as I think it adds a little bit more interest to the card.
Here is the entire card. After I added my tape, I added a sentiment to the bottom of the card and then separated the sentiment from the tape with a few rows of hot pink twine. Last, I punched out a few white flowers and added Rock Candy centers to each of them. A few last pieces of Rock Candy sprinkled about finish off this bright and fun card.
