Hello Blog Readers! This is Leah and today I am going to share a card with you all. I felt like playing with ribbon (who doesn't?) and spring has gotten me in the mood for flowers, so I came up with this ribbon-flower...ta-da! I simply cut a strip of ribbon for the stem and some smaller strips for the petals. I folded the petals in half and arranged them in a circle (with the help of some ever so handy glue dots!). A big brad and a ribbon buckle finished it off along with two more ribbon strips for some leaves. "FABULOUS", just like he buckle says!!!
Hi! Jen here, with our latest Queen's Pick! This one comes to us from the lovely Carole Janson of Australia, and was discovered when my search for Queen & Co layouts led me to her blog full of beautiful layouts and other projects. I was immediately blown away by her use of color and her knack for creating amazing three-dimensional effects on her pages. This one is no exception. Originally created for Scrapbooking Creations, it features our 1.6" felt fusion Scroll borders, which she cleverly placed onto a transparency and cut out before layering them on top of each other throughout her layout. When I asked her about her technique, she replied, "the transparency works really well with Queen & Co, being a 3D scrapper, I just loved making the felt stand up, sort of come alive!" Thank you so much, Carole, for sharing your inspiring layout and technique with us this week!
Hi, this is Leah, hoping you all had a marvelous Easter Sunday. While spending time with family and celebrating the special holiday, I'm sure you had many opportunities for photography...from the the kids wearing their Easter dresses and suits, to egg hunts and Easter baskets. So now that it is over I am here to bring you a little inspiration and motivation to get some of those pictures scrapped! Queen & Co. has many great embellishments perfect for Easter layouts. I created a page of my son decorating Easter eggs by using some Queen felt, ribbon, flowers, fuzzy brads, and rhinestones. By the way, leftover Easter candy is the perfect snack while scrapping your Easter photos! And if you are like me, there is still way too much candy in the house. So lets make a dent in that candy stash AND the photo stash!!!
Hi everyone, Susan here again with another spring-y card. We've been having lots of fabulous, breezy weather in Northern Florida the past few weeks, and I am trying my hardest to hang on to what is left of Spring before the craziness of Summer-in-Florida begins!
So here is a little "Spring Fever"!
I just used a few Queen and Co scraps that were lying on my desk from past projects - ribbon, rhinestones, and a couple of flower shaped brads - to embellish this simple card. For an added twist in your next project, try placing one of Queen and Co's self adhesive rhinestones onto a larger brad as I did here...
Hi there, Sherry here with todays "Queen's Pick" from Kathy Martin. When I came across Kathy's page in the gallery I knew I wanted to share it on the blog. I love the fun papers and design she used to document her friendship. The Queen & Company felt frenzy shapes with a sprinkling of pearls is the perfect touch!
Happy day it's Wendy! So have you all seen it? All the new Queen & Co goodies? I'm so in love!!! I've been in a bit of a scrapbooking slump so I was HAPPY to get the new Queen products to play with. I created this card which would be perfect for someone who just got a new puppy, or maybe a doggy party.
Hi everyone! Susan here, with a quick little "HELLO!"... :) I have been LOVING all of the bright new colors of rhinestones, and thought what better way to use them, than on another new Queen and Co fave - the foam alphabet letters.
The rhinestones stick perfectly to the foam letters and add even more dimension to your projects!
Hi everyone! Lisa here, with a fun and QUICK spring project. I love decorating frames and giving them as gifts. You can buy inexpensive white or black frames at any home decorating store. I covered this little white frame with some old scraps of paper, by turning the frame upside down on the backside of the paper and cutting around it with an xacto knife. I used mod podge to adhere the paper to the frame. One of my favorite colors of spring is white - the small white buds on trees. I had some of the Queen & Co. snowflake felt and, since I live in Southern California, I don't have much use for snowflakes so I turned them into buds. I backed a few of the snowflake buds with the Queen & Co. flowers and used some of the smaller Queen & Co. sequin flowers as accents. I used the Queen & Co. pearls for centers. For the "Think Spring" embellishment, I used an oval scalloped punch to punch 2 ovals from cardboard, glued them together to make them extra sturdy and then punched an oval from the scrap of paper that I used to cover the frame. I finished it with some of the fun Queen & Co. felt and used pop dots to adhere it to the frame. The entire project literally took about half an hour and was so much fun to make!
Happy Easter everyone!! It's Kristin Hayne here with a cute handmade Easter basket that you can dress up easily with our felt frenzy shapes and fun jewels. The basket itself is made out of a 12x12 patterned paper and I used border punches for the cute scallops. Add felt frenzy shapes and jewels and you can make dozens of these quite quickly. I made a dozen for the kids that we plan to see on Easter. Fill them up with grass and your favorite treats!! It will be fun to give them away this year!! Thanks for stopping by!!
Hi Everyone--Ginger here with a super fun card that combines 2 of my favorite Queen and company products. Felt and Pearls! Ever since Queen and company came out with their pearls I have been using them on everything! They are so versatile and fun to use--plus they go with just about any project. Here is a look at how I combined them on this card. You can see I also used a Queen and company Bold Brad, Large Felt Flower, Sequin Flowers, and Heart Stamps. Everything goes together so well! That is what I love about all the Queen and Company products! Have fun with your own felt and Pearls--the possibilities are endless!
