Circles have always been a favourite of mine so it is easy to see why I love this layout by Jen Perks. Here is what jen had to say when I asked her about the layout.
I used the brads to add interest to the stitched circles that were used to create the focal points around the little monkey slippers. I can't freehand a circle to save my life. To get
them I used a circle cutting template, such as the one made by Fiskars. I positioned it directly on top of the photo and lightly drew my circle with pencil, since I knew I was going to be stitching over the line. If I were just going to use only the brads for my circle, I would have placed little pencil dots where I wanted my brads to go, so as not to have any pencil lines left on my photo. I attached my journaling strips with one of my favorite products, the trio brads. To balance the circles and add some weight to the bottom left of the page, I added one of the new alphadots of my daughter's first intitial. Yep, it's a girl. You just can't tell since all her infant clothes are green, yellow, or cream. (Her gender was kept a surprise). I don't think I've made a pink page of her yet!
Thanks for sharing, Jen!
